In the Arms of Friends was officially closed at the end of 2006. There were many reasons that went into the closing of this wonderful foundation, but one of the biggest reasons was so that we could concentrate on the MileStones Walk for Childhood Cancer, benefiting CureSearch. We hope you will join us this year in bringing awareness to the #1 disease killer of children and helping us raise desperately needed money for a cure.

The money that all of you had so generously donated to In the Arms of Friends over the years was donated to the following very worthwhile organizations. The majority of the money was donated to Children’s Hospital in Omaha to continue our bag & book program that was one of our top priorities of the foundation. The 3 ring binder type book is a lifeline for so many families who are newly diagnosed with the devastating news of childhood cancer.
